Internship Projects

These are the projects that I took part in while interning at the Sullivan Center.

Storage Room Supply List

Throughout my time at the Sullivan Center, I was assigned the special task of keeping the storage room neat and organized. This included unpacking, labeling, and putting away new shipments of materials as well as keeping the current supplies in order. Through the semeseter, I created a document outlining what supplies were kept in the closet, grouping those supplies together, and listing where they could be found for quicker, more efficient inventory and restocking for the next interns at the Sullivan Center. I enjoyed this project because it allowed me to serve the staff at center by removing the distraction of a messy, unorganized closet and allowing them to focus on doing their job to the best of thier ability.

CUWell: Healthy Food Choices

CUWell is a comprehensive wellness program that the Sullivan Center offers to Clemson employees, faculty, and staff. It includes an individualized risk assessment for any predisposed diseases, as well as one-on-one counseling about healthy food choices and lifestyle habits. I participated in conducting these counseling sessions, and from those I decided to make flyers outlining common healthy food choices to give to patients to take with them to remember the things that we talked about in our counseling appointments.

BCN Supply List

Each week, the Sullivan Center hosts off-site and Best Chance Network clinics to serve many of the uninsured, no or low-income families in the surrounding Clemson area. Many materials must be packed and transported each week to make sure that the clinic can serve these patients. It was my job to make sure that enough materials were packet to see the patients that signed up to receive care at these clinics each week. In order to make packing more thorough and efficient, I created a document outlining the materials that needed to be packed for a general-sized clinic. This helped the other interns and myself to be able to pack supplies and not forget any necessary materials.
