Delta Delta Delta
Delta Delta Delta is an National Panhellenic sorority which, through my involvement, has helped me grow by allowing me to build strong friendships and develop my personal character through leadership and service opportunities to my chapter and Clemson as a whole.
Tri Delta's national philanthropy is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. St. Jude's is a children's cancer research hospital in which families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. However, the daily operating cost for St. Jude is $2 million. Tri Delta has been partnered with St. Jude since 1999 and since then has raised millions to help fund the hospital. To learn more about Tri Delta's involvement at St. Jude click here.
Every year our Clemson chapter hosts different events, like our annual softball tournament Triple Play, where we raise money to fund St. Jude. Each year I have taken part in helping raise funds and awareness for St. Jude, by talking to organizations on campus about St. Jude and our events, providing needed supplies for Triple Play, and even by taking a trip to Memphis in the Fall of 2013 to tour the hospital and learn more about how my efforts are helping make a difference in the lives of children and their families. My trip to St. Jude furthered my desire to care for others, especially through a tangible way in the health care field.

"The PURPOSE of DELTA DELTA DELTA shall be to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among its members, to develop a stronger and more womanly character, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist its members in every possible way."
Activities Chairman
My involvement in Tri Delta has also allowed me to grow in my leadership ability as well. I was offered the position of Activities Chairman during my first year of membership. As Activities Chairman I was responsible for coordinating ticking for sporting events, managing intramural teams, and organizing activities for our Greek-wide philanthropy event Greek Week. These duties taught me how to be organized, keep up with my responsibilities, and communicate well with others.
